Accessibility Statement
Featherstone Safety is committed to making this platform accessible to as many people as possible. This statement explains our approach, known limitations, and how to contact us with accessibility concerns.
Last reviewed: 27 June 2026
1. Our commitment
We want the Featherstone Safety Hub platform and website to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or browsing context. We aim to follow good accessibility practice and improve accessibility on an ongoing basis.
We have not yet completed a formal WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 audit. We do not claim full WCAG compliance without evidence of such testing. This statement reflects our current best understanding of the platform’s accessibility based on development practice and informal review.
2. What we are doing
Steps we take to support accessibility include:
- Using semantic HTML headings and landmark regions to support screen reader navigation
- Ensuring colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA minimum ratios for standard text (4.5:1) and large text (3:1), based on our brand palette
- Pinch-to-zoom is not prevented on mobile — iOS focus-zoom is permitted
- Interactive elements include keyboard focus indicators
- Form labels are associated with their inputs
- Images that convey information include descriptive alt text
- We do not rely solely on colour to convey information
3. Known limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility limitations that we are working to address:
- Complex data tables (such as the training matrix) may present challenges for screen reader users — we aim to improve ARIA labelling
- Some modal dialogs may not fully trap focus in all assistive technology configurations
- PDF exports generated by the platform may not be fully accessible to screen readers
- Third-party embedded content (such as Stripe billing pages) is outside our direct control and may have its own accessibility characteristics
If you encounter an accessibility issue not listed here, please tell us — see section 5.
4. Technical information
This platform is built using standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React). We support current versions of modern browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge. We aim to support common assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (iOS and macOS) and TalkBack (Android), though formal testing against all combinations has not been completed.
If a browser or assistive technology combination causes difficulties, please let us know.
5. Reporting accessibility issues
If you experience an accessibility barrier or would like to request content in an alternative format, please contact us:
Email: thomas@featherstonesafetyhub.co.uk
Phone: +44 7528 703903
We will acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and aim to respond substantively within 5 working days. We will work with you to find a reasonable alternative where a full technical fix is not immediately possible.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS): equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. Ongoing improvement
We review this statement when significant changes are made to the platform. Our next review target is within 12 months of the last reviewed date above. We welcome feedback at any time to help us improve.
