Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before using the platform. By creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by these terms.
Effective date: 1 June 2025 · Governing law: England & Wales
1. Who we are
Featherstone Safety Hub (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”) is a software-as-a-service health and safety management tool operated by Featherstone Safety. Our registered contact email is thomas@featherstonesafetyhub.co.uk.
“You” or “the Client” means the business or individual who has registered for and is using the Platform.
2. The service
We provide a cloud-based platform to assist with health and safety recordkeeping, documentation, risk assessment management, incident recording, training tracking, and related compliance workflows. The Platform is provided “as is” and is intended as a management aid only.
The Platform does not constitute legal advice, professional health and safety consultancy, or a guarantee of regulatory compliance. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your organisation meets all applicable legal obligations under UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.
3. Account registration
To use the Platform you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business where applicable.
4. Free trial and billing
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan will begin billing automatically on the day the trial expires.
Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ written notice to your registered email address.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Trial cancellations made before the trial end date incur no charge.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you upload or create within the Platform. We process your data solely to provide the service and will not sell or share it with third parties except as required to deliver the service (e.g. our hosting provider Supabase and payment processor Stripe).
We store data on servers within the European Economic Area and implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.
On cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days after which it may be permanently deleted. You may request an export of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; upload false or fraudulent safety records; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform; reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Platform; or use it in any way that could damage or impair the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without prior notice.
8. Intellectual property
All Platform software, design, content, and branding is owned by or licensed to Featherstone Safety. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for your internal business purposes during your active subscription.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Featherstone Safety shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of profits, loss of data, regulatory fines, or third-party claims.
Our total aggregate liability in respect of any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update these terms from time to time — material changes will be notified by email. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
