Management reporting

Health and safety management reporting

A useful management report answers a few questions clearly: what is overdue and who owns it, what has happened, what is still being investigated, and where are the gaps. Featherstone Safety Hub builds that report from the records your team keeps, so it is current whenever you open it and nobody spends a day compiling it.

Included in every plan from £49 per month, alongside structured monthly reviews.

What the management report shows

  • Open and overdue actions: with owners, priorities and due dates, highest priority first.
  • Actions without an owner: shown separately, because an unowned action is an accountability gap.
  • Recent incidents: the last 90 days, by type, with anything that may need a RIDDOR report and has no HSE reference flagged.
  • Open investigations: incidents still open, and those without a recorded root cause.
  • Training gaps: expired and missing training from the training records.
  • Reviews: risk assessments past their review date and when management last reviewed performance.

No reassuring zeros

A report that shows zero incidents might mean nothing happened, or that nothing was recorded. Safety Hub's management report says which: where a module has no records at all, it is shown as no data recorded rather than a clean result. It also avoids a single compliance percentage, because one number cannot tell you whether an organisation meets its legal duties.

Ready for the meeting

The report prints cleanly for a board pack or a management meeting. Monthly review records sit alongside it, capturing what was reviewed, the key risks and the decisions taken, so there is a record of oversight over time and not just a snapshot.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What should a health and safety management report include?

At minimum: open and overdue actions with owners, recent incidents and their follow-up, open investigations, training gaps and anything due for review. Safety Hub's report covers each of these from live records.

Does the report give a compliance score?

No. A single percentage cannot show whether an organisation meets its legal duties, so the report shows the underlying items instead and marks where no data has been recorded.

Can I print or share the report?

Yes. The report is designed to print for a board pack or management meeting.

Where does the data come from?

From the records your team already keeps in the Hub: actions, incidents, training records, risk assessments and monthly reviews. There is no separate data entry for reporting.

How much does it cost?

Management reporting is included in every plan, from £49 per month, with a 14-day trial and no card required.
