CDM Software
CDM software for UK construction projects
Featherstone Safety Hub is CDM software that organises your health and safety by project, the way the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 expect. Record the dutyholders, hold your F10 notification details, build and issue the construction phase plan, manage RAMS, site inspections, inductions, plant, permits and toolbox talks, and assemble the information for the health and safety file, all in one place with an audit trail as you go.
Built by Thomas Featherstone, NEBOSH IGC-qualified and IOSH Managing Safely trained. The Construction & CDM add-on is £99 per month on top of a Starter or Professional plan, with a 14-day free trial of the platform and no long-term contract. It supports your CDM record keeping; it does not transfer the legal duties, which remain with the dutyholders.

CDM 2015 organised by project, not by folder
Under CDM 2015 every construction project has dutyholders, and most have documents that have to exist and be kept: the construction phase plan, risk assessments and method statements, and, where there is more than one contractor, a health and safety file. The regulations do not ask for software, but they do ask you to plan, manage and coordinate the work and to keep proportionate records. Doing that across email, spreadsheets and a site folder is where things go missing.
Featherstone Safety Hub gives every project its own workspace. You record the client, principal designer and principal contractor, note whether the project is notifiable and hold the F10 details, and build the plans, assessments and inspection records against that project rather than in a shared drive. When a client, principal contractor or the HSE asks what you have, it is already together.
- Dutyholder record: capture client, principal designer, principal contractor and contractors against each project.
- F10 notification details: record whether a project is notifiable and hold the notification reference in one place.
- Construction phase plan: draft, review, approve, issue and version the CPP for each project.
- RAMS and inspections: risk assessments, method statements, site inspections and corrective actions, all linked to the job.
- Health and safety file information: keep the records you need to hand over at the end organised as you go.
Everyone on the job, coordinated
CDM is about coordination as much as paperwork. Featherstone Safety Hub tracks workforce competence and cards with expiry dates, runs digital site inductions, holds subcontractor approvals with a secure portal so contractors and clients see only what they should, keeps a plant and equipment register with LOLER, PUWER and PAT certificates, issues permits to work for high-risk tasks, and records toolbox talks and briefings with attendance. The people, plant and high-risk work on the project are managed in the same system as the plans.
An audit trail you did not have to assemble
Because records are created against the project as work happens, the evidence builds itself rather than being pulled together the night before a client audit or an HSE visit. Executive dashboards and printable registers let you see, and export, the current picture across every project. The software supports your record keeping and decision making; approvals and verification remain human decisions, and legal responsibility stays with the dutyholders.

Common questions
CDM software helps you organise the health and safety records that construction projects generate under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, such as dutyholder details, the construction phase plan, RAMS, inspections and the information for the health and safety file. Featherstone Safety Hub organises all of this by project with an audit trail.
No software can make a project compliant on its own. Featherstone Safety Hub supports your CDM record keeping and coordination, but the legal duties under CDM 2015 remain with the dutyholders, and approvals and verification are human decisions.
Yes. You can draft, review, approve, issue and version a construction phase plan for each project, and keep it alongside the RAMS, inspections and inductions for that job.
It is built for UK principal contractors, contractors and construction SMEs who need to manage CDM projects without a full enterprise system, from a single site up to a portfolio of projects.
The Construction & CDM add-on is £99 per month on top of a Starter (£29/mo) or Professional (£79/mo) plan, with a 14-day free trial of the platform and no long-term contract.
