For directors and senior managers
Health and safety software for directors and senior managers
Directors are accountable for health and safety without running it day to day. The difficulty is rarely a lack of paperwork; it is knowing, at short notice and without chasing anyone, what the significant risks are, what is overdue, who owns it, and whether you could show it. Featherstone Safety Hub keeps that information in the records your team already maintains, so the management view comes from the source rather than from a report someone has to compile.

The questions you are expected to answer
HSE guidance on leading health and safety at work expects boards and directors to understand the significant risks the organisation creates and to be assured that they are being managed. Insurers, major clients and auditors ask the same thing in their own words: show us.
In practice that comes down to a handful of questions. What are our significant risks and their controls? What actions are open and overdue, and who owns them? What incidents have we had and were they followed through? Is training current for higher-risk work? Could we produce the evidence tomorrow?
What Safety Hub gives you
- One list of actions: actions from assessments, incidents, inspections and reviews in one place, each with an owner, a priority and a due date.
- Overdue made visible: overdue and due-soon items are flagged on the dashboard, and reminders go to owners who are Hub users.
- Incident follow-through: incidents are screened against RIDDOR as they are logged, with root cause, further actions and any HSE reference kept on the record.
- Training at a glance: a training matrix with expiry dates shows who is trained for what and whose training has lapsed.
- A management report: open and overdue actions, recent incidents, open investigations and training gaps on one printable page for a management or board meeting.
- Evidence and audit trail: certificates and records with expiry tracking, PDF exports and a tamper-evident audit log.
Honest about what software can and cannot do
Software does not control risk; people and decisions do. What Safety Hub does is make the state of things visible and keep the evidence in one place, so that the decisions get made and can be shown. Where information has not been recorded, the management report says so rather than showing a reassuring zero. Statutory duties remain with the organisation and its duty holders.
Start with the assurance check
If you are not sure where you stand, the free Director's Health and Safety Assurance Check asks twelve questions about visibility, ownership and evidence and gives you a short summary straight away. It takes about five minutes, needs no sign-up to see the results, and produces an optional PDF you can share with colleagues.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions
Both. The people who run health and safety day to day keep the records; directors and senior managers get visibility of what is open, overdue and owned without asking for updates. There are no per-user charges within a plan, so both can have access.
No software can do that. Safety Hub helps you organise, track and evidence health and safety management. Compliance depends on your activities and decisions, and statutory duties remain with the organisation and its duty holders.
The dashboard shows what is overdue and due soon across the workspace. The management report brings together open and overdue actions with owners and due dates, recent incidents, open investigations, incidents that may need a RIDDOR report, and training gaps, and can be printed for a meeting.
Most organisations start by adding their people, one or two risk assessments and any open actions, which takes an hour or two. You do not need to configure everything on day one, and we can help move existing records across.
