ISO certification is not a one-off. A UKAS-accredited certification body returns each year for a surveillance audit, and every three years for full recertification. Between those visits the system has to keep running: legal registers go out of date, internal audits and management reviews are due, corrective actions need closing, and training and inspection evidence has to keep accumulating.
